Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Izzy ("Izzy," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Izzy mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, used to create and sign in to your account.
- Profile information: details you provide such as your name or nickname, date of birth/age, gender (optional), home and current city/state, skill level, the disciplines you ride (ski/snowboard), and an optional profile photo.
- Location data: precise GPS location while you use location features (detecting when you're at a resort, on-mountain navigation, sharing your location with friends, and safety/SOS). You control location permission in your device settings.
- Voice and audio: when you use the voice companion, audio from your microphone is captured and streamed to our AI provider to generate responses. We do not use your voice to identify you.
- Messages and social data: direct messages with other users, friend/"ski buddy" connections, and resort bulletin posts.
- Emergency contacts: contact details you choose to add for the SOS feature.
- Purchase information: subscription and purchase status (processed by the app stores and our subscription provider; we do not receive your full payment card details).
- Device and diagnostic data: device push-notification tokens, app version, and crash/diagnostic logs used to keep the App working.
How we use information
- Provide and personalize the App's features (voice assistant, conditions, navigation, social, and safety tools).
- Power the AI companion by processing your voice/text requests.
- Deliver notifications you've enabled (e.g., conditions, messages, end-of-day stats).
- Enable safety features, including sending SOS alerts and your location to your chosen emergency contacts.
- Process subscriptions and maintain your entitlements.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
Third-party services
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the App:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage (your account, profile, messages).
- Google (Gemini AI & Maps) — processing voice/text for the AI companion and providing maps.
- RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription processing.
- Twilio — sending SOS text messages to your emergency contacts.
- Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
- Expo / Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivering push notifications.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
Izzy is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Some family features may involve minors added by a parent or guardian; where a minor participates, we rely on verifiable parental consent obtained in the App, and we limit the information collected from minors to what is needed for the feature. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing izzywolfai@gmail.com. We will delete or anonymize your data except where we must retain it for legal or security reasons.
Your choices
- Manage location, microphone, and notification permissions in your device settings.
- Edit or remove most profile information in the App.
- Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
