How the loop works

From "I need help" to "help is on the way" — in seconds.

Most safety apps stop at a text message. At partner resorts, Izzy closes the loop: the skier's SOS lands in the resort's live dispatch queue, and patrol's answer travels all the way back to the skier's pocket.

A skier calls for help

One tap, a voice command, or fall detection after a hard impact. The SOS carries live GPS, a 60‑second breadcrumb trail, and who the skier is — stamped from their verified profile, so it can't be spoofed.

Patrol's phones buzz — in 2–3 seconds

The SOS becomes a live incident in the resort's dispatch console, and every on‑shift patroller's phone gets a time‑critical push. No answer? Izzy re‑alerts and widens the circle until a human responds.

A patroller takes it and heads out

One tap acknowledges and claims the incident. Dispatch watches en route → on scene live, with the skier's location on the map and the nearest patroller in view.

The skier hears back — even with the phone in a pocket

"🚨 Ski patrol is responding — help is on the way." The push wakes a locked phone. If it's a kid, every parent is alerted too, and the kid's screen flips to "Mom's on the way."

Honest by design

Izzy says "patrol is responding" only when a patroller actually responds — never on a hopeful guess. If patrol can't be confirmed, the skier is told plainly to call 911. Never a fake "you're covered."

The full dispatch loop runs at partner resorts in the Izzy Resort pilot program. Everywhere else, Izzy still sends your emergency contact your live GPS and hands you a patrol number to tap — verified against the resorts’ own sources, with a straight route to 911 wherever a resort publishes no patrol line of its own. But a phone number is a bridge, not the destination. As each mountain brings Izzy Resort online, its patrol gets a live dispatch console in the shack and the resort app on every on‑shift patroller’s phone — and your SOS stops being a call you have to place. It becomes a page that reaches them in seconds, with your name, your live location and your last minute of movement already on their screen, so nobody has to ask where you are. Then their answer comes back to your locked phone: patrol is responding. The goal was never a better number to call. It’s not needing one.

The safety loop is the heart — but the same live wire carries the everyday mountain too. What the resort knows, skiers hear. What skiers need, the resort sees.

Izzy now rides it in both seasons: Izzy Snow all winter, and when the lifts stop turning, Izzy Sun takes over at the same resorts — hiking, biking, ziplining, camping, the lodge that's still serving lunch. Same Izzy, same Snobuds, same family map, same SOS.
